Taiji and Qigong (Tai Chi and Chi Gong) are a series of health exercises and meditation for maintaining and improving the quality of life. Both provides great practices that are low impact to the body and can improve and enhance one's breathing and body. Taiji (Tai Chi) is often practiced slow and while in the modern era it is mainly geared towards improving a person's health, Taiji is also a combative martial arts practice, having roots in close quarter fighting with grappling. Due to its slow style of movement in practice, it is referred to as a form of moving meditation, and is classified as an internal style of Chinese martial arts. Qigong (Chi Gong) originated from traditional Chinese medicine, dating back more than 2,000 years ago, and is practiced through various styles of Chinese martial arts.
